In the winter of 2005 Mel Robertson, Amanda Deibert and Alex Cason founded Heroine Films.
Their goal in forming the production company was to seek out and create films where strong females were the central characters. With this in mind, the three began development on The Gladdest Thing and Queens of the World. With themes of young women struggling to succeed despite all odds being stacked against them, their work stays true to the mission of Heroine Films.
Heroine Films plans to go a step further with their mission in helping to continually support and promote subject matter that they believe in by giving back to organizations that support and promote women, like the WUSA. |
